Hidden UCLA Gem: Il Tramezzino
We have been extremely excited to try Il Tramezzino, a brick cafe nestled in the gorgeous Anderson school of management. The menu contains hearty soups, well-portioned salads, and sweet pastries, all fresh out of the kitchen. We each got delicious meals under $10 and great service at the counter: Chloe got a chopped chicken salad rich with garbanzo beans, tomatoes, and a balsamic vinaigrette. She also got a large iced green tea, which is always a refreshing serving of antioxidants! I scored with some (vegan!) tomato soup. The menu listed the soup as "famous", and for good reason! The smooth, rich, and organic soup was absolutely wonderful. I also got a freshly squeezed cup of orange juice, pumped full of pulp and vitamin C without any added sugar. Il Tramezzino has friendly service and fresh menu items that won't break the bank. Be sure to check out this lovely eatery for a healthy toss-up in your weekly meals!
