Male Mail: Spring and Summer Wear
The weather is warming up and summer is almost here, however, there are still a few spring weeks left, so don’t put the pastels away yet. Springtime is the perfect season to wear pastels and bright colors, and as we move into summer and the weather warms up, many shirts of these styles are made from lightweight cotton and linen and are perfect for the heat. This salmon colored button down from J. Crew works well with the dark navy, cotton twill pants by Adriano Goldschmied (better known as AG). It is perfect for weekend brunch or a casual dinner, and can be dressed up as business casual with a pair of brown loafers. The shirt can also be dressed down with navy shorts, like these from American Apparel, which also work well with a simple pocket square crew-neck t-shirt. So don’t hesitate to add a bit of color to your wardrobe and a pair of navy shorts and pants that match virtually anything. Lastly, a great watch with a bold face and leather band, like this one from Diesel, is great for all occasions and ties any outfit together.

"Cool" Trends: Personal and Professional Style!
With Summertime around the corner, we know you want to stay cool (temperature wise) and even cooler (you wise). We've developed a couple of looks that incorporate edgy trends into summertime-appropriate looks. Chloe demonstrates a great look for shopping trips, days in class, or exploring the city. She continues her love for rocker tees with a Nirvana top from Brandy Melville, and adds to the trend with calculated tears in her jeans, ankle booties (you can still wear them when the weather warms up!), and trendy baubles. Jenna has created a look perfect for work or internships, especially if you are working around Los Angeles. Modlook 29 and Topshop are both currently carrying asymmetrical skirts with zippers, which are the edgy variation to traditional business skirts. Paired with a statement necklace, lacy blouse, and top knot, the skirt's style makes you stand out in the crowd!

Edgy and Easter
Spring is the perfect time to celebrate the different sides of your style. Some days, you might want to look classically cool, ready to rock and roll and take on the world. Other days, you might want to look preppy, ready to celebrate the rebirth of spring and final quarter of school. Whatever your daily choice, we've got you covered. Chloe likes the old time rock and roll, and picked up a genuine ACDC concert shirt from World of Vintage T-Shirts on Melrose Place. These shirts are the real deal! Not to mention, it is a fun place to just look through and explore some musical history! She paired it with a trendy asymmetrical skort from Topshop. We remember wearing skorts in preschool, and frankly we missed them. Good thing that Topshop has successfully designed a sophisticated and on-trend skort for grown ups! Considering that a campus like UCLA demands function out of style, this piece is pure brilliance. Jenna went the preppier route for spring, and visited Keene in Westwood for a bright salmon top. Paired with any denim or white bottom and a turquoise necklace, this top immediately creates a put together look! Photos were taken on North Campus at the Broad Art Center. Have a great week!
